Alan Gardner – A Celebration of Life
The funeral for Alan took place on 10th March in a packed Chapel at Bramcote Crematorium.
He joined the NSofA in 2010, was a board member from 2015, including 4 years as Chair until his death this year. His contribution to the running of the Society was huge and he was involved in many major projects. He was always eager to engage with any member and helped run the Thursday Morning Group, becoming very popular with models and members alike for his ideas.
His wife Tricia and his family were touched by the number of attendees at his funeral and also for all the messages of sympathy and condolence sent from our Society. Messages sent by email at the NSofA were printed out for the family.
Those who attended the Wake held at Jubilee Hotel on the University Jubilee Campus were treated to ‘Afternoon Tea’ which sounded very much like Alan’s idea.
He will be sadly missed.
