A successful Event for the NSofA
Many thanks to Roy and all the volunteers on the two Light Nights. We had over 1500 visitors (new footfall counter) and generated a lot of interest in the NSofA. We added 150 people to our marketing database though a free raffle (for Roy’s donated artwork), and this will help us get visitors for future exhibitions. We also made a large number of sales.
There were so many highlights this year. Although Doug couldn't join us, the large frieze of artists and paintings that he created was a major success - even adults could be seen colouring it in! At times the children were shoulder to shoulder drawing at the other table too.
It was also great to see members of the public coming in and drawing our model - so thanks to those who encouraged them in. Seymour's and Kaj's help on Saturday really made this work.
The two sessions by Louise and Elizabeth drawing quick portraits of visitors was also very popular - a real bonus this year.
Finally, Stevie's pictures of galaxies and her explanations of them were so appropriate for Light Night, and really showed the variety of work that goes on in the NSA.
